Herschel power range heater has 3 models in 2 colours. Power range from 3.2kw to 6.4kW, 3 sizes in either Black or Silver finish. MADE BY HERSCHEL IN THE UK

IRP4 – Black or Silver, 3.2kW power output, 74cm x 38cm x 15cm, heated area 12 – 21 sqm

IRP6 – Black or Silver, 4.8kW power output, 109cm x 38cm x 15cm, heated area 23 – 45 sqm

IRP8 – Black or Silver, 6.4kW power output, 144cm x 38cm x 15cm, heated area 31 – 62 sqm

The Herschel power range heater is recommended for use in factory heating, warehouse heating, garage heating, workshop heating or any other high ceiling large space.

The Herschel power range heater is suspended (usually by wire) from ceiling brackets or roof members. The heater has an aluminium body with a protective grill, it is supplied without electric cable, the electrician will need to bring cable to the terminal box at the back of the heater. Protection class IP20 ie to dust and solid objects but not liquids.

The heaters are wired in 2 circuits allowing 2 power levels of 50% and 100% power levels when used with Herschel APX controllers. Heaters work on single phase 220-240v supply. Herschel Infrared’s advanced APX control options include motion sensors, thermostat controls, timer switches and BMS integration

For simple operation of single heaters  a 2 power level switch is offered for manual operation providing ON/OFF, 50% and 100% power.

Power range has no moving parts, is maintenance free and totally silent. The Power range utilises Herschel’s long life ceramic emitters which produce a zero light far infrared heat which radiates downwards and can form a zone of gentle heat. The emitters have a typical lifespan of 7.000-10,000 hours and can be easily be replaced in situ by a competent electrician. The Power industrial workshop heater is close to 100% recyclable at end of life and is supplied in recyclable packaging.

Power range is designed to be suspended from ceilings (note the suspension kit is not supplied).

Heat intensity and area heated will vary by mounting height.

Note: Emitters can give off a slight orange glow at higher voltages.

Designed for spaces with a minimum ground clearance of 2.5m and maximum 3m.  The heater should be a minimum of 125mm from the ceiling above and 1500 mm from the nearest wall. Simple installation and minimal maintenance requirements compared with alternative systems, such as hot air blowers or gas-burning (‘space ray’ type heating systems). The Herschel power range heater will directly warm people and objects within a heated zone of  about 12 – 62 sqm depending on the model used.  Locate heaters to create overlap zones in order to remove cold spots between zones, this will ensure high levels of comfort.

The capabilities of the power range heaters are affected by a number of factors:

• amount of cold air movement caused by opening shutter doors, traffic movement, draughts
• age and methods of construction of the building
• the building insulation
• cubic volume of the building
• the external temperature and local climatic conditions

For larger commercial projects or where different mounting heights are required we would always recommend a survey, or desktop assessment.
